What Does My Tracking Information Mean?

The shipping process can get confusing. Let us help! 

You’ve placed your order, got your shipping confirmation email, now what? The path your order takes once it leaves our warehouse and is in the hands of either FedEx, UPS, or USPS can seem confusing at first glance. To ease the process we’ve listed the different shipping carrier options and common order status updates below. Happy tracking!


Order Status Updates Explained:

FedEx Tracking Statuses:

  • Shipment Information Sent to FedEx: FedEx has received the electronic transmission of the shipment details and billing information for your order from BraceAbility.
  • Picked up: Your order has been received by FedEx. 
  • Departed FedEx location: This scan indicates that your package has now left the FedEx location
  • In Transit / On FedEx vehicle for delivery: Your order is out for delivery by FedEx.
  • Delivered: This scan indicates that FedEx has delivered your order to your address, PO box, or parcel locker. Yay! 

UPS Tracking Statuses:

  • Order Processed; Ready for UPS: UPS has received the electronic transmission of the shipment details and billing information for your order from BraceAbility. 

  • Order Processed; In Transit to UPS: Your order has been processed by BraceAbility. Once your order is within the UPS network, an expected delivery date will be made available. 

  • Origin: Your order has been scanned at the origin UPS location.

  • Departure: Your order has left its present location and is on its way toward the destination address.

  • Arrival: This scan indicates that your order has arrived at an intermediate sort facility or the destination facility.

  • On Vehicle for Delivery: Your order has reached the local UPS facility responsible for delivery and has been dispatched to a UPS driver.

  • Out For Delivery Today: This scan indicates that your order is out for delivery today. 
  • Delivered: This scan indicates that your order has been delivered to your address, PO box, or parcel locker. Yay!

  • Exception: If the shipment cannot be delivered or is delayed, the reason is noted in the Shipment Progress section on the Tracking Detail page.

USPS Tracking Statuses: 

  • Pre-Shipment status: This status indicates that your order has left our warehouse and is waiting to be scanned by USPS to begin its journey to you.

  • Accepted status: This scan indicates that USPS has accepted your order at a Post Office.

  • In-Transit status: This scan means that your order is in transit from one post office location to another in order to reach your destination!

  • Arrived at Post Office: This scan indicates that your order was scanned at the final postal unit where delivery of your order will take place.

  • Out For Delivery: This scan indicates that your order has been given to a carrier for delivery to its final destination or placed in your Post Office Box if that was your request.

  • Delivered: This scan indicates that your order has been delivered to your address, PO box, or parcel locker. Yay!
